I have to apologize for ignoring our blog. Gallery 360 has been on a bit of a hiatus of late. Things I have posted have mainly gone to our Facebook page, but even those have been spotty. Here's one of those posts that kinda brings us up to date:
Where Things Stand
I'm afraid there aren't enough activist and anarchist artists out there to pull off the summer show I envisioned. Maybe you're all traveling or chilling or, hopefully, too busy creating to bother showing. That's okay. The offer still stands. Our walls await.
The call for recycled and repurposed art still stands, but the show will be postponed until next year. Our next formal show will feature The Ineffables: Amy Edgington and Byron Werner. This is one we've been eagerly awaiting for a long time. Opening date will be September 7th. We're also sending out an early call for entries for our 2nd annual Dia de los Muertos show in late October through November, so get to work, folks.
But don't think we're sleeping until then. One particular activist, Rod Bryan, will be performing here in Western Meds mode on Sunday, August 11th. And other stuff is bound to arise. If you have any ideas for events, call or write.
We still have a healthy dose of Angela Davis Johnson's dream on display, plus some other stuff, so come on by. - Jay
