Ear, Noise and Throat
Thanks to everyone who came to last week’s ‘Ear, Noise and Throat’ show at the gallery. We had fun soaking the musicians in film and liquid light. Pictured are Darsombra, who came from Baltimore armed with their own multi-media display.

Joseph Allred, S!basstron & Dreaming Sophia at 360 Wednesday
Consider joining us for a night of music this Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the gallery. Our headliner is Tennessee artist/musician Joseph Allred. I know comparisons are lame, but if you like the music of John Fahey or Terry Riley, you'll probably like Joseph's. Opening will be local folk folks, Dreaming Sophia's Little Sister, and fresh from Legends of Arkansas, S!basstron. Music starts 7:30. Donations encouraged.

Amulets and Austin Cash / Sunday, 7:30 PM
Who says audio cassettes and VHS are dead? 'Amulets,' aka Randall Taylor, will disprove that belief when he brings his 'Suitcase of Drones' to Gallery 360 on July 5th. Amulets creates an environment that defies description, blending looped ambient, drone, noise, guitar and electronic music with projected imagery. Each show is a unique experience. Austin Cash will open. Five bucks admission at the door. That's Sunday, July 5th at 7:30 PM.

Great Show Last Night
What a pleasure it was to have S.J. Tucker and Heather Dale perform at the gallery last night. Their two voices weave magic, not to mention Ben Deschamps, who played guitar blisteringly.
Thanks go out to their loyal fans, some of whom drove many miles to attend.
I went to IndyGoGo today and saw Heather's Celtic Avalon project is moving along nicely. She's trying to get off the ground a multi-artist show that tells the legend of King Arthur, Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table through music. There is to be a DVD, as well as a touring schedule and a program for school outreach. Heather has five days to raise a little more than $7000. You can help her by sending on as little as $5. Rewards await you and Heather both by going here.
They did this one last night. Chilling.

Sooj and Heather Returning To Gallery 360
Last October we were honored to have Heather Dale and S J Tucker come to the gallery and play for a small but very appreciative audience. Now, we're so pleased to have them back.
Consider joining us, March 15th, for a night of merry mythmaking, as the caravan that is Heather and Sooj and Ben Deschamps on guitar rolls through town. These are three musicians in tune with the earth. For gosh sakes, they sing and play with pixies and brownies regularly, not to mention their being on a first name basis with all of the Knights of the Round Table. These are just the kind of folks you need to spend the ides of March with.
The music starts at 7 PM on Saturday, March 15th. Since the space is small, only 40 seats will be available. Purchase tickets ($10) in advance here.

S.J. Tucker and Heather Dale at Gallery 360 October 15th
The ides of October come bearing pixies.
Heather Dale and S.J. Tucker are two beautiful, badass myth-makers who sing Celtic folk-rock songs about mischief and magic. Hailing from Toronto and the Delta, their four-piece band (featuring Ben Deschamps on guitar and John Stadtlander on drums) tours all over North America & Europe — and you won’t want to miss their joyful, boot-stompin’ romp into the strange worlds of King Arthur, Fairyland, medieval France, Merry Olde England, Oz, Neverland, and our own hopeful hearts. Join in the magic Tuesday, October 15th at Gallery 360 as this fun and funky tour stops in Little Rock for one evening only. While you’re there, check out the gallery's current show, Edgy & Goofy, featuring work by artists Amy Edgington and Byron Werner.
Overflow parking is available next door at Vestcom. Admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Go here to order tickets. Doors open at 7pm, and music starts at 7:30pm. Ages ten and up, please.

Regrets and Updates
I have to apologize for ignoring our blog. Gallery 360 has been on a bit of a hiatus of late. Things I have posted have mainly gone to our Facebook page, but even those have been spotty. Here's one of those posts that kinda brings us up to date:
Where Things Stand
I'm afraid there aren't enough activist and anarchist artists out there to pull off the summer show I envisioned. Maybe you're all traveling or chilling or, hopefully, too busy creating to bother showing. That's okay. The offer still stands. Our walls await.
The call for recycled and repurposed art still stands, but the show will be postponed until next year. Our next formal show will feature The Ineffables: Amy Edgington and Byron Werner. This is one we've been eagerly awaiting for a long time. Opening date will be September 7th. We're also sending out an early call for entries for our 2nd annual Dia de los Muertos show in late October through November, so get to work, folks.
But don't think we're sleeping until then. One particular activist, Rod Bryan, will be performing here in Western Meds mode on Sunday, August 11th. And other stuff is bound to arise. If you have any ideas for events, call or write.
We still have a healthy dose of Angela Davis Johnson's dream on display, plus some other stuff, so come on by. - Jay

Closing Reception for Bunker Dogs
There will be live music at the closer for the Bunker Dogs, Saturday Feb. 27th, 7pm to midnight. On the list are Guy Morgan & the FT Crew (Cape Girardeau, MO), Pecan Sandy (Russellville, AR), Rad Rad Riot (Little Rock, AR), and Better Days (St. Louis, MO).
Come by, hear some sounds, and take a gander at art by Matthew Castellano, X3MEX, and Everett Gee. In fact, consider buying something to support these guys. If you can't afford the original work, there are small silkscreened prints from $10 to $15 and silkscreened patches from $2 to $5. Everett has copies of his and Steve Oriolo's punk show flier book, Gutter Butter, for only $5 and - get this - a set of 5 mini-comix for a mere $2. Now tell me you can't afford to buy art.
